Tell me this: why is it that everytime I work so hard for something and when I'm finally within reach of it... it's gone????



Why? WHY?!!!!

I heard today that the polaroid company will stop producing films for their cameras. Because of the new technology and the digital age, they will cease to make films. They view polaroids as being outdated and useless. That made me sad. I love polaroid pictures. They always have that unique colors and lighting that varies from picture to picture. Digital cameras are cool but they're not the same... I love polaroids too much for them to be discontinued and I'm sure there are lots of other ppl who feel the same. What's next? No more traditional color pencils or markers as the toy companies are coming out with all these no mess light painting things? Or what no traditional paints and canvas because everyone is getting a tablet?... Digital and efficiency isn't always better.

Or the really good artists are slowly but surely emigrating from DA?? I was browsing around today and I saw a bunch of little kids who don't even have any art posted up. They're just using DA as another networking site like Myspace or Facebook. What happened to the art community?
